iridology

The practice of iridology involves the detailed examination of the iris (the colored part of the eye). The eyes are "windows" to many aspects of the body, connected by optic nerves to the brain, sympathetic nervous system and spinal cord, with close association to the body's major control centers. Because of this close physiology, a topographic map of the iris has a representation and location for all structures in the body.

Benefits of Iridology

Information from a detailed examination of the iris by a knowledgeable iridologist can reveal a number of issues vital to disease prevention and health promotion. For example, health conditions that develop over time can be analyzed by changes in the eye. These changes can stem from genetic causes, but also from the way a person eats, drinks, feels, thinks and lives. When these changes are identified, the iridologist can recommend guidelines to help change this course.

Iris analysis can also uncover hereditary predispositions to conditions that may occur up to 20 years in the future - before symptoms appear or other conventional diagnostic testing shows any indication. In fact, a high risk area may even be detected in an infant, providing as much time as possible to help put prevention measures into place before problems arise.

What to Expect

Iris analysis is a pain free way to examine current health status and potential future health weaknesses in both children and adults. When a client comes to the Oasis Center for Health for iris analysis, a highly trained iridologist takes an image of both eyes with a specialized microscope and digital camera. These images are then enlarged and carefully examined.

Glen Depke, iridologist for the Oasis Center for Health, is also a practicing naturopath. As a naturopath, he has many techniques to help clients use the information learned through iris analysis to make specific life changes based on their unique needs to promote health, prevent disease and feel better both positively and mentally.
