naturopathy

Naturopathy is a system of therapy that focuses on building health rather than on treating disease. The techniques used are non-invasive and may include simple but powerful interventions, including changing the foods you eat, recommending appropriate herbs or nutritional supplements, bodywork, introducing hydrotherapy or forms of exercise and/or meditation.

There are many different kinds of naturopathy services - all designed to evaluate your individual needs and take action to prevent disease and preserve and optimize health. Some of the naturopathy services provided through the Oasis Center for Health include:

  • Metabolic Typing

Metabolic typing helps individuals address health and nutrition needs by customizing a diet plan based on their unique genetic makeup. Each individual processes foods and utilizes nutrients differently due to unique metabolic characteristics. Learning what foods are genetically appropriate for the way your body works can have a powerful impact on the health of body. For example, metabolic typing can help prevent and reverse chronic illness, lose weight naturally, strengthen immunity, slow down the aging process, enhance athletic performance and overcome mood swings and depression.

  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

EFT is a simple, gentle and rapid means of healing that is effective for many physical symptoms stemming from: trauma, stress, anxiety, fears, guilt, depression and addictive cravings. EFT is sometimes called "acupuncture without needles" or "emotional acupuncture" and generates its results by balancing the body's energy meridians. While EFT parallels acupuncture, the meridian points are stimulated by tapping with the fingertips (not inserting needles) while the client focuses on or "tunes into" the issue or problem they wish to resolve. This creates an important link between mind and body, which promotes healing.
