David J. Bilstrom, M.D., director of The Oasis Center for Health, is board certified in Anti-aging & Regenerative Medicine with a subspecialty board certification in Medical Acupuncture. Dr. Bilstrom serves as a diplomate for both the National Board of Medical Examiners and American Board of Medical Acupuncture.

Dr. Bilstrom has been a physiatrist, a physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation, for nearly 20 years. Prior to opening The Oasis Center for Health, Dr. Bilstrom was an attending physician at a number of Chicago-area hospitals, served in private practice and practiced at rehabilitation institutes throughout the United States.

After attending medical school at the University of Illinois in Rockford, Illinois, Dr. Bilstrom completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado. He initially sub-specialized in spinal cord injury rehabilitation, serving as associate director of the spinal cord injury program at Charlotte Institute of Rehabilitation in North Carolina. For the past 10 years, Dr. Bilstrom has pursued extensive training and experience in anti-aging & regenerative medicine, acupuncture and integrative medicine.

Dr. Bilstrom is currently a fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture, as well as a member of the National Disabled Sports Alliance. He lectures nationally and internationally on issues related to pain management, acupuncture, complementary medicine and health and wellness.
